Musings on Psalm 27

YHWH is my light and my salvation.
Whom shall I fear?
One thing I have longed for, yearned for,
sought after, like a thirsty antelope that’s been
running for hours in the rocky wilderness
– one thing –
to live in the
Divine House of Love
wherein lies
Beauty and Truth.
Splendor and beauty emanating
from their Source.
Exploding, swirling nebulae,
dancing curtains of aura borealis,
breaching humpback whales,
shimmering mackerel,
scurrying hermit crabs,
swaying kelp,
baby’s first smile,
weathered grandmother’s face,
laughter of friends
Beauty in, over, under, around us
every moment, every day
God is beautiful
Beauty, like sunlight must be absorbed
It does not come from Amazon.
One thing I have longed for, yearned for,
sought after, like a thirsty antelope that’s been
running for hours in the rocky wilderness
– one thing –
to live in the
Divine House of Love
wherein lies
Beauty and Truth.
To enquire in God’s House of Love
for this is where wisdom lies,
where Hokhmah and her sister Sophia
dwell, robed in fine linen of purple and blue
Here are answers. Here is mystery.
Here is knowledge. Here is unknowing.
Wisdom beyond language
whispers across the sea
creativity, curiosity, searching, seeking
satisfied unsatisfaction
always satiated, always discontent
filled yet longing for more
Infinite Grace.
Infinite Love.
To Behold the Beauty of the Lord and
Enquire in God’s Temple.
Sit still
Watch. Listen.
The divine footfall is soft
